So sorry that this is a very bad product.Singer went out of business many years ago and only sold the right to use the name.This machine sewed 2 quilt tops before freezing up and had to be thrown away totally useless and not fixable.It is a nice size for taking to quilt class but needs to keep working more than 2 months.
Hard-sided carrying cases for sergers do not seem to be very common (at least they weren't when I was searching for one). Most people likely keep the serger set up all the time and so don't need to store it. I currently don't have a dedicated sewing area, and wanted a hard side instead of a luggage-style soft side case so that it could function as a 'cabinet' when the serger is not in use. This one is just the ticket- it's made to fit a variety of serger sizes, and my Brother 1034D fits inside with plenty of room to also hold a small box of accessories.
Very good price for this item.Great size for machine embroidery.A "must have" for me.
I selected the Brother SA224CV after reading many other reviews on various coverstitch sergers. I have not tried all the accessory feet I purchased for the machine but the standard stitch has been very fast and easy to use.I have a Viking serger but never used the coverhem features because it took me longer to set up the machine than do the serging. I have a place in my sewing space for this machine to be set up all the time. For the price I think this is a great machine!
This is the only place I was able to find this thread net, I looked in every craft and sewing store within 60 miles of my home and no one carried this product so I was very happy to see I was able to get it through you site.
So far I haven't seen much this machine can't stitch thru!I monogram on key Fobs, diaper bags, clothes, burp clothes, overalls, hats, etc!You name it you it works!It has great features like the autothreader, drop in bobbin, warning when the bobbin is running out, I love the outline feature that will show you in the field exactly where the design will go!I love the several hoop sizes!I have the small, large and extra large and love them all!All in all I would highly recommend this machine to anyone!
I purchased the table as an addition to my sewing room.I knew I would not use it on a daily basis and therefore choose a cheaper model.The table was a kit and had to be put together / easy to do.However several of the drawers were damaged and had to be replaced.The customer service was excellent and I had the replacement parts in just a few days.I especially like the "fold up" feature that allows me to keep the room uncluttered looking.I think it is an excellent buy for the quality product I wanted.
i love this pad. it is perfect size for my overlock pfaff and this is quite a wide machine. i don't have anything bad to say about this product. it is simply great. even the rim catcher releases very smooth once you want to throw away all of the trims.
The thread ad was a little deceptive.They advertised as thread for Brother machines, which it isn't exactly.They never would give me a definite yes or no on the thread being made for Brother by Brother. I specifically asked them that and they said they had not had any negative responses from Brother owners. That wasn't what the ad stated. It stated thread for Brother machines. The best I could find out was, that it was made in India, but they wouldn't specifically say it was made by Brother for Brother machines.When I received it, at first I was a little disappointed, then I e-mailed them and they told me to give a few spools a try and if I wasn't completely satisfied with it, I could return it and they would refund my money.I thought that was reasonable and gave it a try and it stitched out beautifully. So I thanked them and kept the thread. The only problem was breakage, it seems a little weak, but using a large eyed embroidery needle took care of that.They told me to adjust my tensions on my machine, but I didn't need to touch the tensions by using the larger eyed embroidery needle. Overall, it's basically good thread, beautiful colors and shine to it.
received product quickly. was not working properly and company shipped a new one within days. Still having trouble so sent both machines back for a refund. Had to call a few times about credit but all in all great customer service just not a great product.
I bought this for my mom for Christmas. She hung it on the wall above her sewing machine and filled it with thread spools.Read the dimensions...this one is much smaller than the one I almost got at Walmart, but it makes up for that by adding flair to the room. It looks handcrafted, so it's useful but also decorative.My mother loves it.
I have had this machine for years! I paid a lot more for it than Amazon is offering. So the price is just not an issue here. The main advantage of this machine is 1) It is Singer (the name says it all); 2) It has an automatic thread tension control (an invaluable feature for novices!); 3) It has 17 stitches (even the one for sewing on buttons, embroidery, and monogram); 4) It is very easy to operate, as a very detailed and easy to comprehend user manual is included; and 5) It is light-weight, compared to those bulky Kenmore and Bernina machines, it is is just a baby!
Having grown up with the wonderful Singer Manual machines as in non-digitalized I thought I'd treat myself to the digital world and update all of my machines at once. Lucky for me I didn't get rid or trade in any of those good old ones.
I was so excited when my package arrived. I have had a lot of experience with sewing, and with sewing machines. I wounded a bobbin, and I threaded the machine, and started to sew. unfortunately the needle thread would not catch the bobbin thread. So, It wouldn't sew. I tried different settings, adjusted the tension. I changed the needle, but still the thread just would not catch. I was so disappointed. I returned the SewProZZ-401, I'm still waiting for my refund, which could take up to 4 weeks.
I have been satisfied with singer sewing machines in the past so was happy when my daughter purchased this machine for me as a gift.
Brother Embroidery Hoop 1x2 / B001UAUXSI
First of all, shipment was really fast!Secondly, this embroidery hoop is great and does a whole lot more than the small or medium Brother hoop.I was able to embroider a 5-foot sign for an upcoming craft faire in just a couple of hours!It would have taken way much longer if I had used the medium hoop that came with the machine.
The previous reviewer obviously has no idea how to use a serger if it took an hour to thread and was that difficult to operate.This machine works very well.Easy to use and the dvd that comes with it is very good.I would highly recommend this serger.I got on sale for $199 at Sears and have been very happy with it.
I have tried using this machine about 4 times and have had issues each time. The bobbin gets tangled very easily and my bobbin holder actually cracked so I need to replace it.The machine is not user friendly.It's very cheaply made.I'd recommend spending more money on a higher quality machine.So far, it has been nothing but pure frustration!
