This is the best attachment I've ever bought.Don't know how I got along without it all these years.What a difference!!
If you don't sew too much it's a good little machine, but oh so frustrating to change the bobbin and every time you use the thread cutter the presser foot falls off. If I looked closer on this machine I would never have bought it, I would have made sure the bobbin loads from the top. If you want to put this machine in a sewing table, you have to crawl under the table to change bobbin. To thread a new bobbin you have to rethread...........summary. good for once in a while sewing and mending,priced good,but not user friendly.
I had never done free-motion quilting before I bought this. It was super easy to attach to my Brother sewing machine. It took me a little bit of practice to get the hang of it (I did stipple quilting on a baby quilt) but it wasn't that hard. It did make a squeaking noise while I sewed. I'm not sure if it was my machine or the foot. I recommend getting some quilting gloves that help you grip the fabric as you move it. My hands and wrists got sore from gripping the fabric for so long.
I have never used a sewing machine before, but i liked the idea that I can do alterations on my jeans and pants, do some patchwork on my old clothes, and do various jobs here and there.
Cheaply made. Extremely small overall size. Has 24 pegs for spools of thread, but since they are way too close together, they won't hold regular sizes of spools. Came with 24 TINY spools of thread that won't last very long. Came with quite a few notions, but the straight pins weren't in a box. I could hear them rattling when I got the package. When I opened the box, pins were everywhere, and fell out all over the floor. The only really useful notion is a needle threader that comes with a magnifying glass. Came with bobbins for some reason, already loaded with thread. Of course the bobbins don't work with my machine and since you need to fill a bobbin with the thread you're using, these bobbins are useless. If this kit had cost $5.95, it would have been too expensive, but a little more reasonable for the quality of the product.
I had never sewn anything before in my life, but I wanted to learn.This sewing machine came with a DVD to explain how to thread it.It was very easy to thread, wind the bobbin, and put the bobbin in.I do wish they had given me a bit more info on what each foot is for and what each one looks like.I guess they assumed that I'm less clueless than I actually am about sewing.
This is my first machine, I learned to sew on my Mom's Singer and still consider myself a beginner.Easy to understand instructions, quite - which is a big plus.Have sewed several pillows and curtains and am very pleased with the machine so far.Plan to use some of the fancier stitches on a small quilt after some more practice.All in all I recommend this machine for someone who wants simple and quick.
I have a brother XR-46 sewing machine, and this foot worked great with it.I also tried it on my friend's machine and it worked well with hers too.As long as you have a low-shank machine this foot will work for you. (If you take off your presser foot and there is still a long shank left in place, you have a low shank machine.)
This product was a complete failure.I had to return it.The description said that it would fit babylock machines but it didn't.
This foot does not fit the Janome 7330.Although it snaps on, it is loose not giving adequate pressure to stitch and easily falls off.
When you use thinner material it does a double ruffle like a dream.
I agree with the rave reviews for the se-350 now se-400.... for sewing, it's a dream of an upgrade from my battered but still working brother xr-40 bought from costco @ 10-ish years ago.
it is cheap- very cheap. and of course that is what you get. each color has enough thread to maybe fill one bobbin. would know for sure if i could find the end of the thread. you end up wasting half the paltry amount just to find it. basically seems like something you would buy at a dollar store.
My husband bought me this machine for an early Mother's Day gift. I am really new to sewing and so far am in love with my Janome!! It was so easy to learn to wind the bobbin and thread the machine, going by just the manual. I haven't sewn a thing since 8th grade home ec and after 2 days of practicing I've already hemmed some things and fixed a few seams in my husbands' boxer shorts ;) The machine itself is very solidly built and runs so smoothly, it makes me feel silly for being so nervous about sewing for so long. I wish I had gotten one years ago! I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone looking to get into sewing for the first time, or anyone who just wants a good, solid-running machine that will last for many years. I've always heard good things about Janome and this machine is no exception.
I just got this machine a week ago as an early Christmas gift from my hubby.I didn't purchase it from Amazon, because we found a Thanksgiving-week deal at Jo-Ann fabrics, so I picked it up there for about $200.
according to wife, works fine if you dont expect to much from it.Certainly doesnt replace regular sewing machine.
Yay! These are a little hard to find retail. It fits and works great on my Brother SR-65 machine. Plus, it was delivered with AMAZING speed!! I had a project waiting on the delivery and it was even faster than I would have dared hope!

After reading reviews for other cases, referencing issues with flimsiness or such a big size the machine would bang around, I went with this case.And I'm very happy I did.
I have prime shipping so this comes to my door in two days without a delivery price.The product is wonderful.The needles work fine and you get 10 in a pack of various sizes.This is an extreme convince because the price is the same or lower than you would pay if you went to a fabric store and it comes with machine bobbins. I am very happy that amazon is selling this product online now.
I tried a couple of times, but this wont sew any kind of fabric.I think that it does not have enough power to actually do it.Really regret buying this.

I was really thinking it would work, rinky dink as it was. At first it seemed to but it would not sew a stitch. It moved but that is it. I felt it was safe for my daughters first machine. It was more than safe... Unfortunate that it is not even worth the $14 low sticker price. I would rather they made it sturdier and charged more. Igot her a bobbin type, crossing my fingers that the Bratz machine is better...
I can only sew with a basic ability. I needed a machine to save time on basic repairs and very simple projects that took too long to sew by hand. This machine was very easy to learn and use. I am not overwhelmed with options that I dont know how to use anyway. I have only run into a few problem (all caused by me) and I was able to figure out what I had done wrong easily. It is a great machine for learning or for someone who only needs to sews on occasion.
If you expected a large quantity of thread for under $5, I've got a bridge just for you! But if you are in need of a lot of colors for small projects, then this is a deal with 32 different colors to choose from. As far as the bobbins, remember that some sewing machines are quite selective as to what works, so these generic bobbins might not work.
We ordered 7 of these machines for our school sewing class, and each machine is in use approximately 1-2 hours per week.Upon receipt, one of the machines would not work, and we received a replacement.We have now been using the machines for about 6 weeks, and have consistently had problems with the bobbin casing dislocating and causing the needle to jam or break.The sewing instructor, who has extensive sewing experience, used the word temperamental to describe them and said that they are a nightmare for the frustrated students attempting to learn to sew.They were reasonably priced, but I guess you get what you pay for.
I teach sewing lessons in Spring Texas (www.GetSewing.com). I was tired of students bring "problem" machines. I bought this machine for because two students brought ones like it and I was impressed with the quality for the price range. A good thing is, you can sew very slowly. The machine goes when you press on the foot pedal, it doesn't growl and hesitate. You can also sew fast too. The only thing I don't like on this model is that every time you stop, it stops with the needle down in the fabric and you must turn the hand wheel to move it up. It would be much more useful if the needle stopped in the position.
We gave this machine to our 9-year-old.She loves it and has been able to work it herself without any help. Granted she has used my machine with some guidance in the past, but she was sewing away within 30 minutes of opening it.It is light enough for her to pick up and put it away but does a reasonably nice job of stitching as well.We would buy it again.
My wife needed a simple basic sewing machine to repair and make adjustments to our clothes.We decided on this model based on the low price and the Singer name.As we understand there are more Singer machines in service than all other brands together.
we tried this item as well as the Discovery Item and both have the same flaws...very difficult to use.Me Mum-in-law is an expert, and she says have them start on a real machine...I should have listened.My 6 year old wants to learn to sew clothes for her dolls, as well as become a quilter.I was really hoping that this unit would have the safety features that allow for a child----and it does, but it is so difficult to operate for an adult, that there is no way the child will figure it out.Threading is very difficult, even for small adult hands, so I simply don't see how a child will be able to operate this.Better to listen to Me Mum in Law, a wonderful and talented woman; a Master of Crafts. Use a smaller adult machine and use caution and oversight.Besides, your daughter will love the one on one interaction with a precious Mom, Grammie, or Auntie!(As a dad, I just don't cut it in this area!)
Excellent machine.I bought this looking for a starter machine to get back into sewing after a 10 year respite.It's sturdy quiet and has adjustable foot pressure - great machine - the new version is the Janome DC 4030. I think you'll be very happy if you purchase.It meets all my needs except embroidery. . .
