The Little Gracie II Machine Quilting Frame is a marvelous, sturdy, easy to construct frame for home machine quilting.It takes time and patience but all parts are clearly labeled and it comes with both a guidebook and a DVD.Watch the DVD first to get a great overview.Now, The Janome part is another story:It is advertised in this package as the machine to use for quilting on this frame, which needs major clarification.It does not have a feed dog lowering feature so extra parts are needed which should come with the machine in order to make it work.There was only a straight foot and a hemmer in the Janome package (figure those for free form machine quilting??).The Janome siteis not clear in reference to support; in fact when contacting them they told me to go to a local dealer.There are no other guidelines for use other than the basic plug it in, thread it booklet, no accessories information, etc.I would buy the Little Gracie II by itself and find myself another long-arm quilting machine if I had it to do over for purchase. However, the support from Amazon has been great in helping me obtain the foot needed to make this system work as it should have as advertised.

I bought an embroidery machine and I wanted some thread.This was expensive thread but what a great collection of embroidery threads it is and you get that great storage box.Very happy with this.
We dont have any at all in our town and it was very much needed

I gave a 3 because it does have a great selection of colors, however I felt that the pictures were a bit misleading, leading me to think that these spools were the same size as serger spools/cones you can buy in stores.Please see my attached photo for a comparison to a 'normal' sized spool of thread.Cannot attest the sewing capabilities of the thread as have not used it for serging yet...hoping it will work on the machine without too much trouble.The thread works well in the regular sewing machine, and I must admit that it is fun having all these colors and have upgraded to 4 stars
At a $1.61 per spool for 124 1000m spools of rayon 40 wt embroidery thread, I couldn't pass this up.Thread chest, color chart, sample pack of twelve different stabilizers and Anita Good design CD were all nice extras too.Great for me, a beginning machine embroidery enthusiast.Thread chest is made of pressboard with a faux teak veneer, but well constructed (for those who find the box an important factor).

This product would have earned the fifth star if it had a sturdy handle on top and a little beefier latch.I really like it, all my stuff fit in it, but it is thick and requires two hands to pick up.The latches are a bit wimpy too.These two improvements would go a long way to motivating me to buy the new and improved version.
I was hoping for more. The spools hold very little. Also, they're not machine friendly. This is meant for hand sewn projects. It does offer a good variety of colors. I thought this might be the case and (because of the low cost) bought 2 when I made my original purchase. I sorted the different colors out and 2 of these spools might last me a bit, but still..... I gave it 3 stars because of the variety, and there is that.
I'm very pleased with this purchase. I like the fact that it comes with a variety of sizes along with the needle-threader. I also like the black needle holders, as it helps in keeping the needles organized. With other needles I've owned it is easy to lose the needles. I highly recommend this item to add to your own sewing kits.
it is cheap- very cheap. and of course that is what you get. each color has enough thread to maybe fill one bobbin. would know for sure if i could find the end of the thread. you end up wasting half the paltry amount just to find it. basically seems like something you would buy at a dollar store.
If you expected a large quantity of thread for under $5, I've got a bridge just for you! But if you are in need of a lot of colors for small projects, then this is a deal with 32 different colors to choose from. As far as the bobbins, remember that some sewing machines are quite selective as to what works, so these generic bobbins might not work.
